Ricky Lee Wray passed unexpectedly in San Antonio, TX ,June 30, 2021 at the age of 67.
Ricky was born on May 14, 1954 in San Antonio, TX to Ruby Allen and Charlie Wray plus bonus father, Julius Naylon. He accepted Christ at a young age. He attended Edison High School and went to the Job Corp where he received his CDL and drove trucks.
Ricky left an everlasting memory and touched many lives: to know him was to love him. Ricky had a soul that was unforgettable. Ricky loved cooking for everyone. He loved fishing. He enjoyed BBQ’s where he would listen to his favorite dong, Gap Band’s “Early in the Morning.”
Ricky met the love of his life, his wife, Valarie Wray, 40 years ago. They were inseparable and loved each other dearly.
After a blessful day, Ricky went to sleep and woke in Paradise. There he was met by his mother Ruby and fathers Charlie and Julius; his twin brother, Dicky Wray (Bonnie); brother, Julius Naylon, Jr.; nephew, Quincy Wray, along with other love ones that awaited him.
Mourning the loss of his physical existence are: his wife, Valerie Wray; step-mother, Emma Naylon; brothers: Charles, Michael, Ricardo, and Chucky; sisters: Bettie, Sylvia, Sabrina, and Sharon; his 7 kids- four by his previous wife: Ricky (Marie), Fredrick (Frances), LaShon (Edward) and Sherrell; 3 from his current wife: Devin, Stephanie (Michael), and Robert; his grandkids, great-grandkids and a host of family and friends.
