RANDALL MC AFEE Obituary

Randall B. McAfee was the fourth child (the first boy) born to Harold L. McAfee (deceased) and Katie E. Ball in April on the 16th in 1959. As a child , he went t o Gates Elementary school and he found interest in taking things apart and rebuilding them to improve them which would lead t o a trad e of bicycle repair later in life . He played all sports and ran track for the YMCA, neighborhood, and Riley Junior High school . He was also quite the musician and singer having played in the "family band" where Ray pretended to play the guitar , Randy played the drums, and Daina, Kathy, & Mel sang.

After  graduating Southwest High School 1977, he joined the Army reserve just before joining the Army where he was a graduate o f the Brake Side  Control Crewman Course of the U.S. Air Force School in  1978. While in the Army, he received campaign medals for Marksmanship with the M-16 Riffle  and expert hand grenade. He also received a letter of commendation for long hours put forth for CRT evaluation in 1979. He learned that the army was not suitable for him and was honorably discharged 2 years later in 1979 with a final rank of PVT2. In 1998, he received a Journeyman Electrician license and certificate . He started work with Kelly Air Force Base as a Power Support Equipment Manager and also took on odd jobs on the side because he was good wit h his hands.

He leaves behind a legacy of two daughters , Katrina Flournoy , Tiffany Freeman (deceased) and her three children ; Jadae Freeman, Tahyrah George, & Micah George, Mother Katie Ball , five siblings ; Daina Bennett (Fred) , Meloda Clayton (Marvin) , Ramon McAfee, Perry McAfee-HaIiburton, & Hortesia McAfee along with a hos t of nieces and nephews. We will miss his jokes , pranks and him sharing his testimony of how God showed His love and how blessed he was. May he rest until we meet again .
