PATRICE WILLIAMS Obituary

Ms. Patrice Lynette Williams affectionately known as “Lynn” was one of four children born to Mr. Nathaniel Williams Sr. and Ms. Gertie Lee Jackson-Williams. She was born on November 6, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas.

Patrice attended Highlands High school where she graduated with honors in 1972. She majored in Pharmacology at Texas Southern university and transferred to the University of Texas in Austin where she graduated “Rho Chi” in 1977. She scored the highest score on the state registry.

Patrice accepted Christ at an early age. As a child she attended Antioch Baptist church. She was an active member of Concord church in Dallas Texas and upon returning to San Antonio she attended True Vision Baptist church. She was an ardent supporter of her nephew, Pastor Aaron Carter when he pastored at Gruene United Methodist church and attended often.

Patrice was a lover of people and she ministered through her work as a pharmacist by sharing her faith and witnessing to her co-workers and customers. Patrice was very loyal and friendly. She has friendships that have lasted for decades.

Patrice was an avid sports fan, who loved the “Steelers and Spurs”. She loved fishing. She was a reader and belonged to a local book club, she was a traveler, but most of all she was a card player. She loved playing, Spades, Bid Wiz and Pinochle with her mother and local groups. She had an extremely competitive spirit and hated to lose.

Patrice was a surrogate mother to her nieces and nephews, and family friends. She took them in and invested financially in their dreams. She enjoyed spending time with them. They were the love of her life.

Patrice retired from BAMC as a Pharmacist and she became the primary caregiver for her parents, while fighting the longest battle of her life. After 23 years fighting breast cancer, God said “Well done my good and faithful servant”.

Patrice leaves to cherish her memory: Parents, Nathaniel Williams Sr. and Gertie Williams, siblings; brother Nathaniel “Sparky” Williams Jr., Houston, Texas; sister Melanie Williams, Plano, Texas and sister Toni (Stanley) McKinney, Moore Oklahoma; other relatives, seven nieces and nephews, seven great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
