Pamela J. Smith was born on 10 February 1967 in San Benito, Texas to the union of James T. Smith and Wanda N. Goode of San Antonio, Texas. Pamela Smith loved the Lord and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was an active youth and young adult member at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, under the late Rev. C.M. Graham. She continued serving and joined Calvary Baptist Church working in numerous ministries to include Youth Leaders Ministry, Singles Ministry Vice President, and Sanctuary and Women’s choir. She was a dedicated employee of the City of San Antonio for over 30 years. Pamela started at the San Antonio Public Library system at the age of 16. Later taking a position as a 911 dispatcher and became a Police Communication Supervisor.
Pamela Smith departed life to be with the Lord on Thursday, 05 November 2020. She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. James T. Smith; her mother, Wanda N. Smith and sister Jacquelin Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Her son Jeremiah Lee, and grandson- Kameron De’Sean Anthony of San Antonio, Texas; Sister: Wanda (James) Ward, Floresville, Texas; a niece Veronica (Wesley) Wallace, and a nephew, James T. (Alicia) Ward, and two great-nieces and a great- nephew; an uncle and an aunt, and a host of cousin, church family from Mount Calvary BC and Calvary BC, extended family and friends.
