Oscar Harviley Jr. was born on September 20, 1957, to Oscar Harviley Sr. and Mrs. Redell Harviley Carly in Bessemer, Alabama. Affectionately known as “Junior”, Oscar was the last born of four children. Oscar gave his life to Christ at an early age in Bessemer, Alabama where he grew up. He graduated from Winona High school and shortly after joined the United States Army.
San Antonio, Texas is where Oscar decided to build his life after his time in the service. He was known as a Jack of all trades, a mentor, and a talented entrepreneur. Aside from owning and running his successful towing company for over 15 years, Oscar took pride in all his business ventures; from real estate to car sales.
Oscar enjoyed traveling, spending time with his grandchildren, working on home projects, gardening, learning to play the guitar, as well as building and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Oscar went to eternal rest on May 11, 2023. Oscar was preceded in death by his mother and father as well as his two sisters Deborah Ann Carlie and Louvenia Carlie (Brooklyn, NY). He leaves behind to cherish his memories one sister, Joann Carlie (Brooklyn, NY); one son, Alton Robinson (San Antonio, TX); four daughters, Kenya Sanders (Memphis, TN); Libia Harviley (San Antonio, TX), Jeanetta Harviley (San Antonio, TX), Tierra Harviley (San Antonio, TX); 4 grandchildren, Deaire Oscar Thomas, Kody Duane Adams, Elliott Odell Harviley, and Elijah Lovell Harviley. Also cherishing fond memories of Oscar are a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
