OLA MC NEIL Obituary

 

On Sunday, November 10, 2019 God called another one of his special Soldiers home, "Honorary" Deaconess Ola B. McNeil.

Deaconess Ola B. McNeil was born on October 30, 1921, the second oldest child of Tom and Rosie McNeil. She attended school in the

Wielder Independent School District. Accepted Christ at an early age, and new what the "Mourners Bench" was all about. She is known to her family as "Aunt B".

She was employed for many years at Turbine Support and retired in 1988.

Deaconess Ola B. McNeil was an active and faithful member of the New Jerusalem Church. Senior Pastor and Founder, Jeffrey A. Gamer bestowed upon her the title of "Honorary" Deaconess because of her unmerited commitment to God. Her love for her Church and Pastor new no boundaries. She loved attending Church School. She was a Spirit filled, "Anointed" Prayer Warrior. Also known as one of our Seasoned Saints, Deaconess Ola McNeil was affectionately called "Mother" McNeil by the New Jerusalem members. Other notable church affiliations: Damascus Missionary Baptist Church.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, watching Soap Operas. But most of all she enjoyed reading her Bible, Praying, and going to Church. Every Sunday she would be waiting for Bro. Marvin Davis & Sis. Judy Davis (deceased) to pick her up for Church Service.

Deaconess Ola McNeil was the Christian Anchor to her entire family for generations. She was the "Rock" that kept the family together.

She is survived by: One niece Ruthie Mae Fryer (Lawrence), 4 great nieces: Patricia Lyons, Cheryl Nunez-Fryer, Florence Y Moore (Floyd), and Kathy Lee (Connel). One great nephew Ricky Fryer (Julianne), and a host of relatives and friends.
