MARY INGRAM Obituary

Mary C.  Ingram,  Mayc  to  her  family  made  her  way  into  the world  in  Grenada,  Mississippi  on  November  15,  1939.  She entered into Heaven’s Gate on June 12, 2021 at 4:54 AM.

Mary  had  an unwavering  faith  in  God  and was  a  member  of  the Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church, serving on their Mission 1 Committee. Born to L.V. Thomas and Fetus McGee she was raised by her grandmother, Mama Lou. She married Clarence Ingram at the age of 15 and together they went on to have seven children.  They later divorced.  Mary  led  her  family  and several  others  from  the  South  to  Ohio  in  search  of  a  better  life.  Shortly  after  moving  to  San  Antonio,  Mary  began  working  for  the  San Antonio State School. Finding her passion, she formed her own homecare service eventually opening three residences.

Mary will be remembered for always being kind, honest and giving.  She would help anyone in need and never allowed others to do for her. Even if you thought you were taking her to dinner, she would manage to either pay or give you the money back in an unexpected way. But, she was not one that you could take advantage of when it came to business.  She was a shrewd businesswoman and entrepreneur who remembered everything!

Mary's  true  joy  and  personal  purpose  in  life  was  to  shower  love  on  her family. Mary worked tirelessly with thoughts of her family's well-being until her last breath. She wanted her children to be "okay." All of her children and grandchildren  can  attest  to  her  unfailing  love  and  her  constant  helping whether it be words of wisdom or encouragement, babysitting or monetary support. Until the day the Lord called our precious mother home, she just wanted  to  serve  God,  love  her  family  and  know  that  they  loved  her. Yes,  mother  our  love  for  you  goes  beyond  words  and  we  will  love  and cherish our memories of you and your never ending love for us. We surely will pass those memories on for generations to come.

The Lord has gained an angel.
