Obituary

LOUIS L. JACKSON, SR. WAS BORN JUNE 5, 1931 IN MOBILE ALABAMA. HE WAS THE SECOND OLDEST OF SIX CHILDREN.

LOUIS PROUDLY SERVED IN THE UNITED STATES ARMY AND WAS HONORABLY  DISCHARGED. UPON LEAVING THE ARMY, HE BEGAN HIS CIVIL SERVICE AT BROOKLEY AFB IN MOBILE, ALABAMA. WHEN BROOKLEY AFB CLOSED, HE RELOCATED HIS FAMILY TO SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS. HE WORKED AS A PRINTING PRESS OPERATOR AT KELLY AFB. HE RETIRED AFTER 30 YEARS OF SERVICE.

LOUIS HAD A SPECIAL LOVE OF MUSIC, ON FRIDAY NIGHTS YOU CAN HEAR THE SOUNDS OF BEN E. KING OR THE DRIFTERS PLAYING LOUDLY THROUGH THE HOUSE. HE TOOK GREAT PRIDE IN TAKING CARE OF HIS LAWN, SPENDING TIME WITH HIS FAMILY, BARBECUING, MAKING HIS FAMOUS APPLE DAIQUIRIS, AND PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE FOR BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS.

PRECEDING HIM IN DEATH WERE HIS PARENTS, 2 SISTERS, 3 BROTHERS, 1 DAUGHTER, AND 2 GRANDCHILDREN.

HE LEAVES TO CHERISH HIS LOVING MEMORY HIS CHILDREN: LOUIS L JACKSON JR., DAVID JACKSON (TINY), JANICE PERRYMAN, DELORES JACKSON, LAQUITA WASHINGTON, AND MICHELLE LEE: GRANDCHILDREN, GREAT -GRANDCHILDREN, GREAT -GREAT­GRANDCHILDREN AND A HOST OF NIECES AND NEPHEWS.
