LORRAINE REGAN Obituary

Lorraine Daye Reagan was born on May 27, 1947 in Belton, Tx. She was the youngest of George and Lillian Wilkinson Reagan’s four children.

She united with Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Belton at an early age. She was a faithful member of Ernest T. Dixon United Methodist Church. Lorraine was a Lay Leader, coordinator of the Women’s Ministry, past president of the United Methodist Women, member of the Prayer Team and Home Care Ministry.

Lorraine was the Salutatorian of T.B. Harris High School Class of 1965. She continued her formal education at Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Tx. with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology, and a minor in History. She journeyed to Prairie View A&M University and obtained a Master Degree in Guidance and Counseling. Lorraine went on to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

Lorraine professional career started as a teacher at The Holy Rosary Catholic School and The Perpetual Help School. In 1980 she was hired as a Counselor for at-risk girls for the Salvations Army Home for Girls. She was a Case Manager for adults and children with mental health deficiencies from 1981-1990 for the Department of Mental Health and Retardation. She focused on helping troubled children and their families. Lorraine for the next 25 years was a supervisor of six to eight employees at the Northwest Juvenile Probation Department. She was an Organized Training Facilitator for probation officers that were beginning careers in the field. Lorraine received numerous awards for her service and dedication to the field of Juvenile Probation. Lorraine was a “Hero” to many troubled children and their families.

“Auntie Lorraine” was also a “Hero” to her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was a kind, supportive and no-nonsense person that was loved and respected by all she encountered.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Lillian Reagan, brothers Henry Leon Reagan and Harold Reagan. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving sister Louise (Legus) Milton of San Antonio, Tx. nephews Ronald Reagan of Miami Beach, Fl., Harold Reagan Jr. of San Antonio,Tx, Terry Anderson of Angleton, Tx., Kathy Reagan, Lisa Steward, Tamera (Tyrone) Booze of San Antonio, Tx., Tracey Reagan and Leslie Reagan of Oxnard, Ca. and Charlotte Reagan of Angleton, Tx. and a host of others aunts, uncles, cousins and friends throughout the world.
