Kenneth Anderson Obituary

Kenneth Ray Anderson better known as "Kenny" or "Kenny Ray" was born November 23, 1953 in Glen Flora, Texas to the union of Raymond Anderson and El Norma Fay Long. He was the eldest of two children. He is preceded in death by his father Raymond Anderson, sister Vanessa Kay Speed and step-father Carlton Tony Kirkendall.


Kenneth confessed a belief in Christ at a very early age, where the word was taught daily by his mother and his stepfather Rev Carlton Tony Kirkendall who was Pastor at True Holiness Penecostal Church in Garwood, Tx. Under the leadership of Bishop R A Wauls, True Holiness Pentecostal Church.


Kenneth received his formal education in Edna ISD, later Graduating from El Campo High School class of 1972. After graduating Kenny joined the U.S.Army, retiring after serving 20 yrs of service. Later he and family moved to San Antonio, Tx where he worked for The US Postal Service.


Kenneth married Gloria Ann Ellison to this union three children where born Jermel, Kendra, and Kelly. He was a family man who loved cooking for his family & friends, He was very handy with his hand building things, this talent he shared with his children, nephews and friends children.


Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory his wife Gloria; his mother El Norma Kirkendall; two sons Jermel (Jajuana)Anderson, Kelly Anderson (Fayedra) one daughter Kendra Anderson all of San Antonio, Tx. Grandchildren Christian, Josiah Ray, Kelly Jr., Ashley, Anayah, Kiara,Aaliyah, amd Kimbre; host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
