Born Kerstin Danielle Williams, in Columbus Georgia on April 17, 1988, to Connie H. Harris.

Kerstin's mother joined the Army in February of 1989 and left for Basic Training, leaving Kerstin with her grandmother until her Aunt Bonita Harris came to pick her up and take her back to Pine Bluff Arkansas where she was stationed at the time. Kerstin clung to her grandmother not wanting to leave her and cried until Aunt Bonita and she bonded. Kerstin came to love her Aunt Bonita and they were close and did so many special things together, they would go to church, take long walks and play with the kids at her daycare which she loved.

In August of 1989, Kerstin and the family came to Fort Sam Houston Tx, to see her mother graduate from AIT.  Kerstin was excited to move with her mother, her Aunt Portia and her two cousins Alan and Joseph to Fort Knox Ky where her mother was being stationed.

Kerstin always asked if she could go to Georgia and see her grandma and grampa because they needed her.  So, every summer Kerstin would have her bags packed and was ready to go to Georgia the day after the last day of school. Kerstin soon met the neighbor’s grandchildren Nyshia Taylor and Deanna Taylor, they started going to the Girls Club together and when they were in the neighborhood, they would ride bikes and hang out together. When I picked her up, she would always ask, Mom can you find out if Nyshia is going to be in Columbus next summer.  In the evenings Kerstin would ask her grandpa if he would like her to do his hair and nails and she would put her barrettes and hair clips in his hair and he would let her paint his fingernails. The time she spent with her grandmother was priceless; Kerstin would go all over Georgia and Alabama to weddings because her grandmother made wedding gowns and they would get invited to the fittings and weddings. Kerstin and her grandmother also did crafts together and she learned to sew quit well by her grandma. Those were the best summers of her life as a child.

Kerstin and her mom moved to San Antonio Tx, after leaving the Military to start a new phase of their lives. Kerstin was very sad to leave her aunt and cousins but happy to travel to a new place and new adventures. Kerstin made many friends but in the 7th grade she came home and said mom I met my best friend today and her name is Debbie. From that day on Kerstin and Debbie were insuperable and did everything together. They were always at each other's houses and protected each other, they truly became sisters.

When Debbie had her first child Kenyon, Kerstin called me and said mom I'm an aunt and he looks just like me! She was so happy and so excited for Debbie and DJ.  Kerstin would play games with Kenyon and she just loved being around him, Debbie and the entire family.

Kerstin graduated from Judson High School with honors in May of 2006.  Kerstin then went on to ST Phillips College where she graduated with two associate degrees one in Economics and Business Administration in May of 2009. Kerstin received her Batchelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, San Antonio, in Business Administration in August of 2011. In January of 2016, Kerstin received her Master's Degree from Capella University in Business Administration. At the time of her passing she was working on obtaining her PhD.
