Kelvin O’Neal Lankford was born in Mobile Alabama on August 22, 1964 to William and Ruth Lankford.
Kelvin gave his life to Jesus Church at a middle age during service at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
He was a graduate of Sam Houston High School in 1982.
The neighborhood knew him for his professional car washing services. He always made sure your car was shining and looked brand new on the inside. He was also known for his lawn care services. Kelvin worked off and on for Jones Sausage for many years.
He was a man of much humor and laughter. He always had a joke to tell and could brighten anyone’s day. It was guaranteed when he saw you walking up, he was going to say something to make you laugh.
He loved playing basketball at J Street Park. He also enjoyed taking his nieces and nephews to the park to play.
He leaves to celebrate his heavenly arrival, his mother Mrs. Ruth Lankford, and his auntie Mrs. Dessi Rogers. His sisters, Carol (Willie) Barnes, Linda (John) Green. His brothers, William Jr. Lankford, Danny (Lanita) Lankford, Wesley Jerome Lankford and Sidney (Anita) Lankford. He leaves a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Kelvin will be missed, but praise God for the memories God has allowed us to enjoy.
