Mr. Jesse P. Polk was born November 30, 1954 to Reverend John Polk and Phyllis Crawford in San Antonio, Texas. Jesse was the third oldest of 6 children, 3 brothers and two sisters.
Jesse attended Robert E. Lee Elementary School, Emerson Middle School, and Sam Houston High School. Jesse enlisted in the Marine Corp for a short time. After Jesse was discharged, he worked for Pace Picante Sauce. One of his favorite hobbies was antique collectibles and watching the Dallas Cowboys. His favorite restaurants were Taco Cabana and Luby’s. Jesse was a stern, tough father but softer than teddy bear.
In 1976, Jesse united in marriage with Violet L. Williams and had 3 children.
Jesse is survived by his wife, Violet L. Polk; brothers Melvin Roy, John Polk, Stanley Roy, and David Polk; his children Tyrone (Valerie) Polk, Jesse (Jessica) Polk, Stanley (Tiffany) Polk, and a host of grandchildren, cousins, and friends.
Jesse was a loving and caring husband and great father. His smile and laughter were everything. He will be deeply missed.
