JENNIE OLIVER Obituary

Jennie V. Oliver was born on December 2, 1946 in Brownwood, Texas. She was one of seven children born to the late Leslie and Annice Alford; Francis Williams, Eloise Williams, Dorothy Harrison, and Wilkie McCoy, (preceded her in death), Alice Gilbreath, of San Antonio and Leslie Alford Jr. (Kathy) of Kansas.

She met and married Artis B. Oliver in Clovis, New Mexico on July 6, 1970, and to this union four children were born.

After world travel from Air Force life, the family retired in Birmingham Alabama on December 31, 1987. In the summer of 1989, the family moved to San Antonio, Texas and began worshipping and placed membership with the West Laurel Street Church of Christ where she remained a faithful member until her death.

Sister Jennie V. Oliver departed this life Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Christus Santa Rosa Westover Hills, with her daughter Regina by her side.

She leaves to honor and cherish her memory, her husband Artis B. Oliver of 52 years of marriage, four children Debra Oliver-Owens (Joseph), of Loganville, Georgia, Regina Oliver, of San Antonio, Texas, Brandi Oliver (David) of San Antonio, Texas, and Brandon Oliver of Avon, Colorado, four grandchildren, Marcus Peel, of Greenville North Carolina, Tuzday Richards (Osburt), of Grovetown, Georgia, Avery Oliver, of San Antonio, Texas, and Aric Oliver, of San Antonio, Texas, and five great-grandchildren, Marcus Peel Jr of Conyers, Georgia, Miah Richards, Nehemiah Richards, Mariah Richards, and Jeremiah Richards all of Grovetown, Georgia, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
