Henrietta Grayson McAfee, our beloved mother and wife, passed away on December 31, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born to Willie Grayson and Susie Moreno-Grayson on December 19, 1951 in San Antonio, Texas. Known to her family and friends as Henri and known to her husband as Dutch, she attended Edgewood High School in San Antonio, Texas. Always having a drive to be her own boss , she established her own cleaning service called “ Before & After” cleaning. After working for 20 years, she decided to retire in order to spend time with her family and her beloved grand-children. She had a passion for dancing , laughing, watching her classic movies, traveling to Las Vegas and listening to her Golden-oldies (45’s) on her jukebox.
She is preceded by her parents Willie Grayson, Susie Moreno-Grayson, Step-mother Mattie Grayson and brothers; Michael Grayson and Ed Sheppard.
She is survived by the love of her life, her husband Eddie McAfee Sr, her children; Frankie & Cecilia Lott, Delores Lott, Eddie & Rebecca McAfee Grand-daughter Alexis Lott, her pride and joy Grandsons; Eddie McAfee III & Andrew McAfee and her Siblings: Thomas Jones and Della Wilkerson.
She also leaves behind all her Nieces, Nephews, Sister and Brother in-laws, cousins and friends who she cared deeply about. Henrietta treated everyone that crossed her path as family, she was everyone's wheel, everyone's rock to lean on, everyone's shoulder to cry on, be it emotionally , spiritually , and at times even financially Henrietta was always there for those in need.
Henrietta was one of the strongest and toughest persons you would have ever encountered, she knew this last fight was in God's hands, and didn't want anyone feeling sorry for her and she refused to let people feel her pain, she battled cancer believing she would prevail once again having beaten it in the past, but God saw that she was suffering, and he saw that the battle would be long and tough so decided that she had fought enough and wanted her to come back home.
