Georgia Turner Obituary

Georgia Ann Turner, 63, passed away on March 25, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on January 2, 1960 to Mary Lee Turner-Moore and George Williams in Crawford, Mississippi and relocated to San Antonio,Texas at a young age.

Georgia Ann was the middle child and enjoyed being around her older sister Liz and younger brother Willie at parks, clubs, and skating rinks growing up. She attended Wheatley High School and thereafter, entered into the workforce where she held various positions in food services, housekeeping, and caretaking for the elderly.

Georgia Ann enjoyed watching football, basketball, and wrestling as some of her hobbies, and most of all, valued spending time with her family. She was a prideful woman and loved the fact that she was a “Nana” to her grandchildren. She loved her grandchildren with all her heart and always wanted the absolute best for them. She always showed them priceless, everlasting affection and displayed laughter that was very contagious and possessed a lively personality that will forever go unmatched. She lit up the entire room when she entered as her silly personality spoke its own language. To know Georgia Ann was to love her energy, presence, and her fellowship which was very genuine. She was one of a kind and will be truly missed and forever cherished by family, friends, and all who knew her. We loved Georgia Ann very much but GOD LOVED HER BEST.

Georgia Ann was preceded in death by Father: Mr. George Williams, Grandmother: Georgia Chandler, Son: Michael A. Turner, Grand-Daughter: Jaela Turner, Sister: Liz Jefferson, and Brother-in-Law: Willie Jefferson.

Georgia Ann leaves behind to cherish her memories; Mother: Mary Lee Turner-Moore, Son: Matthew Turner, and Brother: Willie G. Turner. She was blessed with eight Grandchildren: Markel, Mareon, Kayla, Mikel, Taishawn, Omari, Malik, and Kah’mya.
