Daddy was affectionately known in the community as “Sleepy Davis,” serving as President of the Phyllis Wheatly High School Class of 1947. He was a good, hard-working and generous man, always sharing words of encouragement and support. He was a provider for his wife and children. Not only did he sacrifice his own needs, he forged a path for his family, to obtain their dreams and endeavors. Referred to as “Sonny” by his sister Emma, he loved her dearly. He had so much joy from seeing his grandchildren grow from childhood and his “Kayla Love,” named after him, held a special place in his heart.
