Elnorma Fay Long was born March 29, 1934 to Robert M Long and Edna McAfee Long in El Campo, TX.
Norma accepted Christ at a very early age. She attended school in Wharton County, TX. She graduated Class of 1953 from T L Pink High School, in Glen Flora, TX.
Norma married Raymond Anderson to this union two children were born Kenneth Ray and Vanessa Kay. She also went to college and received a Nurses Aide Certificate. Later she met and fell in love with the love of her life Carlton Tony Kirkendall. Together they joined True Holiness Pentecostal Church, where they devoted their life to Christ. Tony was minister at True Holiness Pentecostal Church in Garwood, Tx. Norma was a church missionary, both always professing they’re faith.
Norma’s son Kenny Ray promised his mom he was going to give her a big family she would be proud of Jermel, Kendra & Kelly was a joy to Granny and Grandpa Tony. She taught them how to play checkers, bingo, and they would color for hours. She said grandchildren were a gift from the Lord. She like her older sisters was a great cook, known for her special strawberry cake at family gatherings.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents Robert & Edna Long; her husband, Carlton Tony; her children, Kenneth and Vanessa; all her siblings Gracie, Ara, Kenny, Meron, Kelly, Versey, Ellis and Loretta; Nieces and Nephews, Willie Bea, Alton, Earline, Clarice, Don and Randy .
Norma leaves to mourn; her daughter-n-law Gloria Anderson; Grandchildren, Jermel (Jajuana), Kendra, Kelly (Fayedra) Anderson; her great-grandchildren, Christian, Josiah, Aaliyah, Kelly Jr, Kimbre, Kyrie Anayah and Keiara; nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
