Ms. Elizabeth Pearl Hartfield began this walk of life on May 5, 1937. Born to the Late Arthur and Fannie Hartfield, she professed a hope in Christ at an early age and manifested this hope in Christ through baptism, performed by the Late Rev. H. Henry Hardeman. She remained a member at the Greater Corinth Baptist Church until her death.
Elizabeth attended St. Peter Claver Academy High School, where she graduated in 1955. She continued her studies at St. Phillips College.
Elizabeth worked for S.A.I.S.D. for over 50 years, serving her last ten years at Sam Houston High School, where she retired in 2005.
Elizabeth peacefully left us on Sunday, June 14, 2020. She now rests safely in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Fannie Hartfield, a brother Arthur, Jr., and a sister Gwendolyn Hannah.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one sister, Diana (Clinton) Riley; an uncle, Michael Tease; three nieces, Raine Staten, Kristy (Kenneth) Williams and Gwendolyn Riley; a cousin, Johnnie M. Grant and her daughter Tammie Ward-Williams; six great-nieces, three great-nephews; one great great-nephew and a host of relatives and friends.
