ELIJA HAYIL FANNIN was born October 15,1942 to the parentage of Anthony and Alpha Henderson Fannin in Pelham, TX. He completed his education in Pelham, TX. The family moved
to Ft. Worth, TX in 1956.
He started his career as a Chief Cook at Wyatt's Cafeteria and continued in the food business. He helped open First Edmondson Fried Chicken in Ft. Worth.
Later on in life, he moved to California.
This is where he decided the Lord was calling him to preach his Word. He came back home and decided to move to San Antonio, TX.
He was a faithful member and Associate Elder of Greater Joy Temple Church of God In Christ. San Antonio is where he met his angel, Jacqueline Kendrick Fannin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Alpha Fannin; siblings: Archie L. Fannin, Richard Fannin, James L. Fannin, his twin, Elijah Doyal Fannin, Vivian Fannin, and Janet O'Neal.
Left to cherish his memory: His wife, Jacqueline Funnin; brother, Procel Fannin; sisters: Brenda William and Betty Lawson; sons: Rodney Fannin and Eugene Fannin; daughters: Joyceline
Fannin, Diann Fannin, Maralyn Fannin, Elizabeth Fannin, Brittney Gordon, and Marlena Kendrick along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
