DOROTHY DAVIS Obituary

Dorothy Lee Davis was born July 24, 1955 in Memphis, Tennessee to Al Wilson and Leora Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Oliver Louie Davis, her son, Timothy Miles; her sisters, Emma Wilson, Doris Wilson and Glorece Bates; her brother, Bobby Johnson; her sister-in-law, Sharon Reed and her husband, Irvin Reed and a host of nieces and nephews. Dorothy was loved by everyone she met.

Dorothy graduated from Ripley High School in Ripley, Tennessee. After high school, she joined the United States Army, where she served our country from 1980-1983. She met the love of her life and married her husband, Oliver, in October of 1983. Dorothy retired from the U.S. Post Office in 2016.

Dorothy received a Bachelor's Degree in Naturopathy and was an amazing counsellor in the area of Natural Health. She is known for the incredible homemade remedy, "GARLIC SYRUP". She was our go-to for our health issues and naturopathic remedies.

Dorothy devoted her life to the care of others; whether spiritual, physical or emotional. She was a trusted friend, daughter, sister, and mentor to so many. Dorothy's was a life "well lived". She was a woman of tremendous faith and believed God every moment of life. Her love and devotion for God was evident when you encountered her. Her life of service to God and others honored Him and she was never "weary in well doing" nor did she faint. She will be sorely missed by her family, her friends, and all who knew her. Dorothy was a treasure and a light in the midst of darkness.

Dorothy went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 20, 2021.
