CAROLYN M. THOMAS

On May 6, 2021 it pleased the LORD to receive back into HIS presence Carolyn Marie Thomas, a beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend as she stepped from time to eternity. Carolyn was born April 24, 1955 in San Antonio and was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Harvey Mae Sa’yon, Sisters: Dorothy Dibrell, Esterlene Bonds, Peggy Cole ,Brother Joseph Sa’yon Jr and god-son Marquis Thomas.

In her early life, she received a Christian education and learned the importance of a personal relationship with the LORD. Carolyn accepted Christ into her life as her personal Lord and Savior and was baptized while attending West End Church of GOD in Christ under Elder W. L. Jones.

Carolyn graduated from Highland High School and afterwards attended San Antonio Business School. She united in marriage with Frank Thomas and their union gave birth to her only child: Gentries Thomas. The family lived in Germany and later returned to San Antonio, Texas. Upon return to the states, Carolyn worked as a manager at Acox Liquor store and later became the administrator at Dr. Herbert Roberts office. Her disease process caused her to retire and focus on her family and friends.

Her life journey may best be described by the song: ”The Circle of Life” by Carmen Twillie, “ It’s the circle of life and it moves us all: through despair and hope; through faith and love, till we find our place on the unwinding the circle-The Circle of Life” This is echoed in the sentiments of II Corth 5:6-8;”So we are always confident, knowing that while  we are at home in the body we are absent from the LORD. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the LORD-”KJV.

Now, that Carolyn has departed this life into eternity to be present with the LORD, memories of her life here on earth will be treasured by: Gentries Thomas-Son(s-Kim Thomas), Jonathan Sa’yon- Brother(s-Barbara), Lynette Norwood- Stiles and Ashley Campbell( god-daughters), Grandchildren: Sydney , Jordan, Chace, Charles, and Paige Thomas and special friend Sandra Williams, and a  host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
