CARLA DIANA JOHNSON

Mrs. Carla Phelps Johnson transitioned into the Lords arms on August 10, 2018.  Carla was born to Charles Edward Phelps and Flores Jean Phelps on September 25, 1963 in San Antonio, Texas. She was the oldest of five children.

Carla graduated one year early in 1981 from Sam Houston High School. Carla also attended St. Philip's College. Carla participated in numerous beauty pageants throughout the city and won several crowns. Her employment history includes several years at USAA where she worked as a Project Manager and an Insurance Adjuster Trainer in San Antonio and Spokane Washington.  Carla also worked for the Marriott Corporation as a Night Auditor and VIP Coordinator in both San Antonio and Grapevine Texas. Her hobbies included interior and fashion design, going to garage sales, flea markets and thrift stores.  Carla had a keen eye for finding one of a kind and rare finds.  Carla married the LOVE of her life, Mr. Myron Johnson on August 19, 2000. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Edward Phelps.

She leaves to cherish her memory Myron Johnson (husband), Flores Phelps (mother), Helen Obey (grandmother), sisters Phyllis Phelps Davis (Lawrence), Tracie Phelps, Monica Phelps Smith (Samuel), brother Brian Phelps, nieces Raven Phelps Jackson (Quincy), and Ashleigh Jackson, nephews Gregory Jackson, Jerimiah Smith and Jordan Phelps, four great nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
