CARL JOHNSON, SR. Obituary

Carl Milton Johnson Sr. was fondly remembered by his family and friends as a very intelligent, quiet and private individual. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 28th, 1932, the third of seven children of Derrosette and Jowdy Johnson Sr. His parents, also members in Second Baptist Church, preceded him in death.

He completed his early education in San Antonio, attending Booker T Washington, Douglass Junior High, and graduated from Wheatley High School in 1949. He attended St. Phillips College where he prepared himself for a career of forty plus years as a talented mechanic at Kelley Air Force Base, from which he retired.

He married his life long sweetheart Mrs Jacqueline Bland of San Antonio and from this union had three sons - Carl L Milton Johnson Jr., "Chico" (Brenda) of Atlanta Georgia, Larry Johnson (Christiana) of Melbourne, Florida and Dr. Michael Johnson of Lincoln, Missouri.
He confessed Christianity in his life and has been a faithful member of Second Baptist Christ all of his life. He was a faithful member attending regularly until he had to resign and began caring for his ill wife Jackie until his death. He was a devoted, loving husband and father until death.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of fifty plus years, Jackie. Three sons: Carl, "Chico" Larry, Michael. Two daughter-in-laws, and granddaughter Olivia.
