Obituary
Calvin Sylvester Hartfield was born December 17, 1947 to Mr. Otis Hartfield, Sr. and Ida Mae (Fields) Hartfield in Lavernia, TX. He was the fifth child of seven siblings.
Calvin Sylvester Hartfield accepted Christ at an early age at trinity Missionary Baptist Church guided by Rev. John A. Hall. Calvin Sylvester Hartfield later changed his membership to Greater Grandview Baptist church under Sr. Pastor, Rev. Christopher Anderson and Assistant Pastor, Rev. Timothy Houston.
Calvin graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School. He also served in the United States Army.
Calvin Sylvester Hartfield was a respectful and generous person. He had a heart of gold and Love them Cowboys!
Calvin Sylvester Hartfield was preceded in death by: his parents, Mrs. And Mrs. Otis Hartfield, Sr.; sister, Helen Newes; and brother, Otis Hartfield, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories: brothers: Willie, Marcellus, and Leonard Hartfield; sister, Sandra Sumpter, and a host of nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews, family and friends.
