BRENDA MYLES STROUD Obituary

Brenda Faye Myles Stroud was born July 8, 1956 to Charles Phillip Adam and Mary Jane Wilson. She was born in Austin, Texas and raised as a dependent traveling to different Air Force military bases in America and to Japan. She was the third child and had four siblings. She was known as daddy’s “pretty dark chocolate baby girl,” with coal black, silky hair.

Brenda was a sensitive and caring person, which often, as a child, found her bringing home stray cats, dogs, and other animals. Her siblings and parents thought she would grow up the be a veterinarian. Instead, she married Mark Antony Myles when she was in Florida. She had two children and traveled with him as a housewife. After divorcing, she stayed in Washington DC where she raised her boys as a single parent. She met and married Frederick Stroud on January 28, 2009. Sadly, after being married for one month Frederick died.

Brenda’s sensitive and caring demeanor led her to choose a career working for a nonprofit organization as a clerical assistant and office manager. She loved all kinds of music, but she enjoyed singing and dancing to old school soul music from the 80s. She most of all had a big heart and took in anyone that needed help. She called them all her babies.

Brenda stepped in to take care of her grandson, Marell, as her own the moment she laid eyes on him. Marell meant the world to Brenda. She was forced to retire due to her illnesses and lived the rest of her life in San Antonio.

Brenda is survived by her sons: Mark Anthony Myles Jr and Dajahn Paul Myles.  Grand children from Mark Anthony Myles Jr: Kyiana Myles, Tyree Myles and Marell Myles. Grand children from Dajahn Paul Myles: Tahmia Monea Farmer, Dajahn NuPaul Myles and Dasia Lynette Myles
