BENSON STAIN Obituary

REFLECTIONS OF THE LIFE

 Benson B. Stain

I am the child of Charlie and Willie Stain, born on November 16, 1925, the last of their seed. My life has been beautiful and full with the added pleasure of fifty-eight years of marriage to Geraldine J. Brock, who preceded me in death as well as my siblings Albert, Clarence, Margaret, Lillian, Charlie, Jr. and Stanley.

Cry not, for I leave you my seed Lillian Ruth, Benson, Jr. and Terrance Giraud as well as many relatives that embrace the Stain or Brock linage.

My accomplishments were many, though vague to the eye and I am pleased with my lot. God has given me a place in His heart for which I am happy to embrace as you in your time should.

Wake in the morning sun, be glad a new day has come. Then raise your voice in glee, for all there is to be.

SPECIAL REFLECTIONS FROM BENSON'S CHILDREN

At the age of seventeen (17) our Dad joined the US Navy on November 17, 1942. He was trained at Camp Robert Small. Upon his departure as a Seaman, our Dad spent time on Guadalcanal in the Soloman Islands in the South Pacific.

For more than 35 years as a Civil Servant at Kelly Air Force Base, he received several Performance Awards. He was most proud of the letter he received from William A. Jack, Major General, USAF Commander. The letter documented his appreciation for our father's ability to keep the B-52 Bombers on schedule for repairs and departures which was a difficult task.
