SHIRLEY HODGE EVERETT

On April 7, God lovingly blessed proud and loving parents, Howard F. and Mable L. (Garcia) Hodge with an adorable baby girl, they named her Shirley Ruth Hodge. She was born in Lee County, Texas and brought such joy and happiness as the seventh child of the family.

Shirley was raise in Doaks Spring Community and graduated from Giddens High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Morning Star Baptist Church.

After graduating from high school, she moved to San Antonio, Texas. She attended and received her Associate degree in nursing from St Phillips. She was employed and retired from the San Antonio Hospital.

On Monday, 06 January 2020, Shirley was called hone to be with the Lord to join her Husband Author Everett, her parents Mother, Father, two sisters, Rosie L.

Ball, Celestine Hinton, and three brothers, Howard Hodge Jr., Tommy O. Hodge and George Hodge.

She leaves to cherish her memory four sons, Ronald (Deborah) Hodge, Donald Hodge, Michael, and Malcolm Everett. JW Jr., Ralph, Sam, Franks Robert Sample and Patricia. Addison. Seven (7) grandchildren, eleven (11) great grandchildren, One sister, Irene Taylor of San Antonio, two brothers, John E. Hodge (Maxine) of Victoria, Texas, and Alonzo Hodge of Dime Box, Texas. Several Nieces, Nephews and Host of others relatives and friends.
