Ronald Clack Obituary

Ronald "Ronnie" Bruce Clack was born on January 7, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas and was the fifth of nine children born to Ruth Banks Clack 'and Phillip Clack, Senior. Ronnie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. James AME Church. He received his formal education through the San Antonio Public School System and after graduating from Phyllis Wheatley High School where he was known for his athletic abilities as a star quarterback and exceptional short stop; he attended Texas Southern University for a degree in Industrial Technology. Ronnie married his high school sweetheart Erma Hall and had one child, Ronda. Although this union resulted in divorce, Ronnie and Ronda had a strong bond and it was this bond that ultimately resulted in Ronda caring for her father in his later years of life.

Ronnie was gifted and talented as a Designer Draftsmen working for several different companies in the oil and gas fields in Houston, Texas, Northern United States, and Montreal Canada. He showed great entrepreneurship and enthusiasm when we worked for himself making and selling clocks, book cases, fish tanks encased in furniture, and dog houses to name a few items. He also dabbled in rebuilding computers after moving back to San Antonio, where he eventually became a home contractor and proprietor of "Eastside Construction". He was very creative and shared his talents with those closest to him. He took time teaching others construction skills to which many can contribute their abilities to lay flooring, roofing, interior and exterior painting, fencing, bathroom remodels and overall home remodeling. He would always say "no jobs to big or small if the price is right".

Ronnie was very charismatic, and all people were naturally drawn to him. He possessed a generous spirit and was always there for family and friends in their time of need; whether it was food, clothing or temporary shelter. His acceptance and generosity led him to be known as uncle Ronnie to those in the neighborhood as well as friends of friends and family.

On Wednesday, September 12, 2018, Ronnie went to his Heavenly Father surrounded with love from family. He was preceded in death by his parents Phillip Clack Senior, Ruth Banks Clack and his brother Lawrence "Googi" Clack, cousins Fred Brock, and Birdie Brock.

Ronnie leaves behind to cherish his many fond memories, his daughter Ronda LeBlanc, son-in-law Johnathan, grandchildren Brooke, Brea & Bryce Lelslanc; two ex-wives Erma Hall Clack and Wendolyn Jefferson Clack, step-daughter, Eddricka Jefferson Brooks, siblings, Carolyn Matthews, Phillip Clack (Patricia), Harry Clack (Shirley), Lillian (Peggy) Mitchell (Madison), Janet Debrow, Palus Clack, Curtis Clack (Kim), and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and loved ones.
