Daughter of Gayle Stoney and Hilda Mayberry born January 26, 1928 in Shiner, Texas. At a young age she was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist church. She was also a member of New Light Baptist Church, ending with New Union Missionary Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX.
Mable Coleman attended Phyllis Wheatley High School (1945), Huston-Tillotson University in Austin where she received her nursing certificate and began her career as a LVN. She also received an Associate Degree in Political Science from San Francisco City College.

Mable Coleman worked for Brooke Army Hospital and Lackland Air Force Base. In 1965 she relocated to San Francisco, CA where she worked for the Presidio Army Base. She returned to San Antonio, TX in 1981 and picked up where she left off working for Brooke Army Base and retired after 32 years of service ( in 1992). She begin private nursing working at various nursing facilities in San Francisco, CA and San Antonio, TX.
She was VERY active in the community. She truly touched the hearts of everyone she met. She was a mentor, server and a giver to all.
