LILLIE MAE ANDERSON

Lillie M. Anderson arrived on this earth on Friday, December 4, 1925 and departed this world on Thursday, August 15, 2019. Born in San Antonio, Lillie graduated High School here and then spread her wings and landed in Akron, Ohio. There she attended Beauty School and was sole owner of a Beauty Shop. She loved fixing hair and making her patrons look good. She returned to San Antonio to live and care for her Mother, Martha Everhart, who preceded her in death.  

Lillie loved to cook, but especially baking, and she loved to feed her family and whoever stepped foot in her home. She put a smile on many faces when they saw a cake in the cabinet, and she made many bellies happy and satisfied with her delicious soul food. As the poem says, “Friday’s child is loving and giving”, and that described Lillie to all who knew her.

Lillie’s son Anthony Anderson preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter Mary Ann Reed; grandsons Jeff and Elijah and wife; granddaughter Cristial; five great granddaughters, Danielle, Alexandria, Diadra, Elizabeth, and Emily; five great grandsons Dominic, Jeremy, Jason, Ethan and Jackson; cousins; and extended family.

We say farewell to Lillie who loved us all in her own special way as we all loved her in our own special way.
