Kathye Johnson

Kathye Lynn Ross Johnson was born on July 2, 1958 in Chambers County, AL to Mr. Lewis Ross-Penn and Ms. Ernestine McCauley. Kathye accepted Christ at an early age. Kathye attended school in Chambers County and graduated with honors from Valley High School in 1976.

In 1976 after graduation, Kathye moved to San Antonio, Texas where she found her true love and soul mate Mr. Alfred Johnson. The two wed in 1978 and had been married 40 years until god called her to his kingdom. To this union 3 children were born Mario F. Ross who she precedes in death, Alexis A. Johnson-Wilson, and Alfredda D. Johnson.

Kathye L. Ross-Johnson was a devoted healthcare provider of 20+ years and loved her job more than anything. Kathye enjoyed in her spare time spending time with her puppy “Bubba”, traveling to her hometown of Lanett, AL, talking on the phone with her loved ones daily, and watching her favorite T.V. shows (the Chew, KSAT news, and her favorite B.E.T.)

She leaves to mourn her devoted husband of 40 years Mr. Alfred L. Johnson, Daughter, Alexis (Dewayne) Wilson, Son, Alfredda D. Johnson both of San Antonio, Tx. 4 sisters Evangale (Arthur) Walker of Lanett, AL, Seneca (Ray) Martin of San Antonio, Tx, Twyla (Johnny) Heard of Lanett, AL, and Nina R. Cotton of Atlanta, GA. 2 aunts Tommie Jean Ramsey, Mattie Pearl Brown, both of Lanett, AL, Lamar McCauley of Indianapolis, Indiana. 7 grandchildren Christin Heights, Tiara Johnson, Devion Dukes, Amareion Wilson, Tavokius Wilson, Tyreik Wilson, Keon Johnson all of San Antonio, Tx, 4 great-grandchildren, 4 nieces Pamela (Frank) Mathis, Danita (Ervin) Miller both of San Antonio, Tx. Demonica (Terry) Fraizer of Charleston, SC. Latisha (Demond) Barker of Portsmouth, VA. 2 nephews Desi R. Walker, Dexter (Leslie) Walker both of Charleston, SC. 4 step-daughters Antionette Pitts, Katrina Pitts, Andrea Davies, Akea Johnson all of San Antonio, Tx and 1 step-son Alfred (Shay) Johnson of Houston, Tx, 1 god son Omar Smith and one special daughter-in-law Sharon Dukes. 2 sister-in-laws Andrea Bobino of San Antonio, Tx, 1 special childhood friend Ms. Rosa Harris of Lanett, AL. 4 special cousins Manfreda Ramsey, Willie (Goobe) Ramsey III, Alvin Zanders all of Lanett, AL, Marion Cotton, of Atlanta, GA, 1great nephew Ja’vae Williams whom she called her “Dodoo Bug”, and a host of cousins, nieces, and loved ones.
