Juanita Kay Jones (Williams), born to Lawrence and Patama Williams, July 16, 1953, in Ottumwa, IA. Kay was the oldest of 3 girls and one of 9 siblings. She graduated from Ottumwa H.S. Kay later moved to Burlington, IA where she started her nursing career, as well as, met and married her first husband. Having had four children, she moved to San Antonio, TX, where she furthered her education to become an R.N. and continued her career in nursing. Kay worked very hard as a nurse, on many different levels, for over 41 years, before retiring in August 2018. Kay lived doing what she loved the most, by helping and serving others, through her job and throughout the community.
Kay accepted Christ early on, in her life. In January 2015, Kay joined Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church. She served faithfully until her illness.
Kay is survived by her husband - Norman “A.C.” Jones; her sons – Larry Williams and Michael Lewis; her daughter – Andrea Lewis; Grandchildren (8); Great-Grandchildren (3); her brothers – Jack (Nellie), Doug and Frank (Vicki); and her sisters – Sue and Rita; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends
Kay is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Patama Williams, her loving daughter Fay Marie Williams, brothers – J.C. and Robert Williams and niece LeAndra Calhoun.
