James Hysaw Jr. “Ike” was born on August 14, 1941 in San Antonio, Texas to James Hysaw Sr. and Willie Mae Hysaw. He is preceded by parents, James Hysaw Sr. and Willie Mae Hysaw, sister, Mattie Pruitt, sons, James Hysaw and Lemuel V. Hysaw (L.D.).
James “Ike” graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School in 1960. James was a truck driver for Handy Andy, Montgomery Wards and Denver Southwest. He enjoyed playing pool, racing cars, horse racing, fishing, music and keeping you laughing and telling jokes. He never met a stranger. He was always fun loving to be around.
James “Ike” leaves to cherish his memory (daughter) Jamesetta Head (husband) Joel Head Sr., (daughter) Pamela Todd and (husband) Edward Todd, (sons) Ronald Keith Hysaw, Michael R. Hysaw, Don J. Hysaw, LeGerrick Frances, (daughter) Elaine Hysaw.
James “Ike” leaves his (aunt) Emma L. Cruse, (sisters) Shirley Ann, Annette, Yvonne and Lillie Ann, and (brother) Kenneth and eighteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren, and host of relatives and friends.
