Charles Edward King was born on April 29,1951, to the parentage of Charlie and Delores King in Whistler Alabama.
At an early (age) he accepted Christ and united with Rose of Sharon Baptist Church. He began his education in Mobile County and upon moving to San Antonio he would continue at Phyllis Wheatley High School where he would graduate in 1969. After graduation he served his country in the United States Army. Upon returning home he began his 20-year career with Montgomery Ward and continued his education at St. Phillips Community College.
Charles was a gifted musician, athlete, and talented craftsman. He loved and admired his family and was a devoted San Antonio Spurs fan. He was well known by the many people whose lives he touched and highly respected by his loved ones and family.
Charles was called home on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father Charlie King, and loving sister Dorothy Mosley. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving mother Delores P. King: Two devoted sons Charles Wilson and Dameion Jermaine King. Five brothers: Amos Bernard Stallworth (Versa), Melvin King, Herman King, Billy King(Paula), Roscoe King, and brother-in-law Alonzo Mosley. Five sisters: Anne Ruth Mouton(Herbert), Alma Jackson, Brenda Dirden (George), Wanda Young (Cubert) and Letrice King, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loving friends.
His legacy of love will forever Shine through the light he has left in our hearts.
