Mrs. Babbie Williams Walker was born in San Antonio, Texas to Mrs. Lucille D. Curry and Mr. William L. Benning, March 16, 1959. She was her mother’s seventh child. The Lord took her home November 4, 2019.
She lived in the East Terrace Apartments with her family until she was seven years old. She completed the first grade at Dorie Miller Elementary School. In 1966, she and her family moved to Rockport, Texas and later to Aransas Pass, Texas where she completed the second grade. In 1967, she and her family moved back to San Antonio where she graduated from Highlands High School in 1977. After completing high school, she enrolled into St. Phillip’s College.
Babbie loved to communicate with her family, friends, and community. She opened her home and heart to countless family members and friends who needed a helping hand navigating life’s journey. Though she was the youngest child, you would have thought she was the oldest.
